Today my husband and I were invited to see the soccer match between Spain and Portugal at a friend’s house. He is from Spain and an avid collector of amazing things. One of my favorite,  that I admire most every time I visit his home, is his bullfighter’s suits collection, it is truly stunning.

Even though for some people bullfighting is an art, I have to say I don’t enjoy this spectacle. But for me the way the suits are made is truly remarkable.  Their cut and embroidery is always  handmade with silver or gold threads, no detail is spared.These suits are so elaborate and their design is so beautifully crafted, that in my opinion, this is truly the art.

Hoy mi esposo y yo fuimos invitados a ver el partido de fútbol entre España y Portugal en casa de un amigo. El es de España y es un avido coleccionista de cosas increíbles. Una de las colecciones que mas admiro cuando voy a su casa, es su colección de “trajes de luces”, es algo verdaderamente espectacular.

Se que para algunos el toreo es un arte, tengo que decir que no disfruto mucho de este espectáculo. Pero la manera como están hechos estos trajes es verdaderamente algo especial. El corte y el bordado son siempre hechos a mano con hilos de plata y oro, no falta ningún detalle. Estos trajes son tan elaborados y sus diseños tan bonitos, que eso es para mi el verdadero arte.
